ONE NIGHT nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mt, in the town of Boulder, your hotel is locally owned and operated – “The Cure for the Common Hotel!” only half a mile from the city center and Boulder Creek. Your standard pool/atrium view room features two double beds, free wi-fi, TV with premium channels, voice mail, and coffee/tea makers. (Fridge available for additional costs.) Hotel amenities include an interior atrium with pool, flagstone spa tub, waterfall, two large rock-climbing boulders, fitness room, saunas, game room with a pool table, on site restaurant, and complimentary  breakfast each morning.

Boulder to Grand Lake, CO, via Rocky Mt NP: 83 miles – 3-5 hours

ROCKY MT NP we recommend and will provide directions, detailed information and history for a hiking and driving adventure through Rocky Mountain National Park. Including Trail Ridge Road, Logan Visitors Center, Colorado River, Grand Lake, Moraine Park Museum, etc. $20 admission fee not included.

TWO NIGHTS surrounded on three sides by Rocky Mountain National Park and perched on a hillside above Grand Lake Village, Grand Lake, and Shadow Mountain Reservoir. Check-in to a rustic half-duplex cabin with a single queen bed, private bathroom and heat. The Lodge, on the National Register of Historic Places, is home to “Colorado’s favorite front porch”, dining room, famous circular fireplace, and gift shop.

HORSEBACK BREAKFAST TRAIL RIDE Ride on the forested trails overlooking beautiful Grand Lake, along mountain streams and through open meadows. Wilderness areas and trails into the Rocky Mountain National Park begin right at the stables. Enjoy the peace and serenity of quiet lakes and crystal clear streams flowing through forests of fir and ponderosa. Work up a healthy appetite on the ride and then enjoy all you can eat breakfast. Chow down on a stack of pancakes, sizzling sausage, fresh scrambled eggs and a cup of good hot coffee.

2-HOUR CANOE RENTAL FOR 2 Located on the shores of Grand Lake, Colorado the historic Grand Lake Marina. Enjoy stunning views of the Rocky Mountains and the Continental Divide. There is nothing to compare with paddling a canoe on Grand Lake, especially when water is like glass. Each canoe comes with paddeles and cushions.

Grand Lake to Glenwood Springs: 124 miles – 3-3.5 hours

BLACK CANYON OF THE GUNNISON NP we recommend and will provide directions, detailed information and history for a hiking and driving adventure through Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Including the South Rim Drive, Rim Rock Trail, Chasm View, Painted Wall, Warner Point etc. $15 admission fee not included.

ONE NIGHT next to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, in the quint town of Gunnison at a comfortable, family owned Inn. Gunnison to Denver, via Garden of the Gods: 226 miles – 5-6 hours

TWO NIGHTS in a in historic bank building in the heart of downtown Denver. Your room has premium linens on your king sized bed, granite-topped desks, 32-inch TVs, free wi-fi, bathrobes, and city or courtyard views. Your nonsmoking boutique hotel is 1 block from 16th Street Mall and features a hot breakfast buffet for two, a beer and wine reception, and a bedtime cookie buffet. MOUNT EVANS is the road into the sky. Drive from 8,700 feet at Idaho Spring where you turn off Interstate 70 to 14,240 feet to the summit, and you will pass through 3 life zones, passing ancient trees, lakes and forest to the land above timberline. It can be 90 degrees in Denver and 40 degrees at the top of Mount Evans. Mountain Goats and Bighorn Sheep will greet you as you climb to the top of the world.
